Several years ago, Jan McCraw,
also known as Ladybug, suggested that decorative painters all
over North America might like to take part in a very special project
for children spending time in hospital. She sensed that
the children might like to have a special treasure box to keep
their most prized possessions accumulated during their stay.
June McCallum suggested
at the May 2006 meeting of the Montreal Area Decorative Painters
that we might like to take part in this project. Once decorated,
our shoe boxes would become Treasure Boxes for children in the
age range of 1 to 17 who are at the Montreal Shriners Hospital.

We took up the challenge
and are now in our fourth year, participating in this worthwhile
